Your first appointment is always in person. All new patients with respiratory or sleep conditions need to be seen in person for their first visit, so that clinical examination and testing can happen.
Follow-up appointments can be by video (televideo) when your physician considers it clinically appropriate.
Sleep and Lung Care offers video consultations with our respiratory and sleep physicians for follow-up appointments from all of our clinics — Epping, Brunswick, Doncaster East, Braybrook and Kilmore. Video suits review appointments, results discussions, patients in regional Victoria and anyone who finds travel difficult.

How video consultations work
- You have your first appointment in person with one of our physicians, with any lung function tests or sleep study arranged as needed.
- If your physician agrees that a video review is clinically appropriate, reception books a video time and sends you the link and instructions.
- Use the appointment link sent by reception. If the link or your camera connection is not working, phone reception for assistance before the appointment time.
- Join from a phone, tablet or computer with a camera, somewhere quiet and private, with your medication list and any test reports to hand.
- If further tests are needed, we book them at the clinic closest to you — every clinic performs the full range of lung function tests and arranges home sleep studies.
Medicare and video consultations
Our practice sees new patients in person so that examination and testing can be arranged; video follow-up may be offered when clinically appropriate. Medicare rebates apply to eligible specialist video consultations under the current Medicare rules. Reception will confirm referral requirements, fees and any Medicare rebate before your appointment.
