Dr Jack Henderson

Personal Info

Dr. Jack Henderson completed his medical degree in Queensland before relocating to Melbourne, where he undertook specialty training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at leading institutions, including Austin Health, Northern Health, The Alfred, and St Vincent’s Hospital. During his specialist training, Dr. Henderson was elected to the executive board of the Victorian branch of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ), a position he continues to hold. He is also an active member of the Australasian Society of Sleep Medicine (ASA).

Upon receiving his fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Physicians, Dr. Henderson became a staff specialist at The Alfred Hospital’s Lung Transplant Unit and continued to work privately with Sleep and Lung Care.

Dr. Henderson has a broad interest in all aspects of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. He is dedicated to providing thorough, compassionate care and believes in fostering an environment of shared decision-making and transparent communication with his patients.

Areas of Expertise:

  • Sleep Medicine: Dr. Henderson specializes in managing conditions such as obstructive sleep apnoea, hypersomnolence disorders like narcolepsy, and insomnia.
  • Respiratory Medicine: He has a particular focus on advanced lung diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease (ILD), and bronchiectasis.

Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Henderson enjoys gardening, cycling, and surfing.
