Dr Asha Bonney is Respiratory and Sleep Physician who completed her medical degree at Monash University and subsequent specialist training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital.
Dr Bonney holds public hospital appointments at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Eastern Heath. Dr Bonney is also a lecturer at the University of Melbourne.
Dr Bonney manages a broad range of general respiratory and sleep conditions, and has a special interest in the early detection of lung cancer (including screening) and lung nodule management. She is completing a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) supported PhD in the field of lung cancer screening.
Dr Bonney holds additional certifications in bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, and pleural ultrasound. She is passionate about holistic, evidence-based medicine.
Dr Bonney is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, Australasian Sleep Association, European Respiratory Society, Thoracic Oncology Group Australasia, International Association of the Study of Lung Cancer, and American College of Chest Physicians.
