Dr Susana Mu attained her Fellowship in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians following accredited specialist training at Eastern Health and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Prior to this she had trained as a junior doctor at the Austin and Northern Hospitals.

She has a diverse experience in managing a broad range of complex respiratory and sleep issues and most recently has been heavily involved with managing patients with COVID-19 at the Royal Melbourne Hospital looking after those with respiratory failure in high dependency respiratory care unit. Her caring and compassionate nature allows her to look after those with complex respiratory issues in a holistic manner and help guide them and their loved ones through their journey. Her special interest lies in ventilatory failure, sleep medicine and airways disease.

She is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ), and Australasian Sleep Association (ASA), American Thoracic Society (ATS) and European Respiratory Society (ERS).

Dr Mu is affiliated with The Northern Hospital, The Royal Melbourne hospital, Box Hill Hospital and Northpark Private Hospital.

Susana’s caring attitude extends beyond people – she is a lover of animals of all sizes, great and small.
